Treasurer Jim Chalmers warns on economic pain ahead with little relief in Federal Budget

Australians are being warned to brace for tougher economic times ahead with next month's Federal Budget unlikely to provide much in the way of handouts to deal with the surging cost of living. 

While yesterday's official growth figures show a strong economy, that's expected to fade as runaway inflation and hefty interest rate rises eat into household budgets.
