We're all probably COVID weary and already looking forward to eased restrictions and time with family and friends in the leadup to Christmas.
But there are warnings that confusion over COVID rules, especially for food workers who need to quarantine if they're deemed to be close or casual contacts, could disrupt the supply of food to supermarkets and corner stores during the festive season.
Australian Food and Grocery Council chief executive Tanya Barden says essentials like meat, bread, milk and (yes) even toilet paper could become scarce likening the risk to current shortages in Britain.
I spoke with Tanya Barden on the ABC's AM program and also ABC NewsRadio.
