The surging cost of energy has sparked an extraordinary response from the British government to provide to relief from "bill shock" that's rocking households and businesses.
Plans have been revealed to levy what's known as a "windall tax" on oil and gas companies which have been profiting from the war in Ukraine.
However, Australia's new Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says the UK windfall tax won't be copied in Australia.
