No ransom demand yet as Optus cyberattack fuels privacy reform pressure

Pressure is growing for privacy reforms that would force companies like Optus to alert banks immediately to cyberattacks and potential exposure to customers. 

Optus says it is yet to received a ransom demand as Australian Federal Police continue to investigate the attack that puts the data of 9.8 million customers at risk.
