Woman face lifelong pay gap, less than 50pc work full time across all generations, bleak gender equality report confirms

It's a remarkable statistic that underscores the urgency of addressing gender equality in the workforce.

Research from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency shows that across all generations, less than 50 percent of women are working full time and missing out on management roles while pay parity with men remains elusive.

For the first time, WGEA data has broken down the gender pay gap by age and shows that men out-earn women across all age groups.

I speak with WGEA director Mary Wooldridge on ABC NewsRadio and The World Today.

Here's my digital story on ABC News Online and analysis from my work-from-home living room.
