Ireland welcomes 6,000 Ukrainian refugees as war overshadows St Patrick's Day. I speak with Irish Minister of State Hildegarde Naughton.

Ireland is opening its doors to 6,000 Ukrainians who have fled the Russian invasion, overshadowing St Patrick's Day celebrations. 

Ireland Minister of State Hildegarde Naughton says as a member of the European Union, Ireland is acting swiftly with humanitarian aid. 

I speak with Ms Naughton who is visiting Australia on her first trip downunder to open Irish businesses and to build links with Australia as the world emerges from the pandemic.
