Crude oil dips as Ukraine president says NATO membership won't happen

The global price of crude oil has dipped sharply overnight in what should eventually translate into relief at the Australian petrol bowser.

The fall below $US100 a barrel for Brent crude would appear to erode the push by some politicians to cut the fuel excise as fallout from the Ukraine war puts a rocket under inflation.
