AGL in $1.1 billion half year loss on rocky renewables transition. I speak with CEO Damien Nicks.

AGL has posted a $1.1 billion half year loss as the energy gaint begins a shaky and uncertain journey in shutting down coal generation towards a renewables world. The energy giant has pledged to shut down fossil fuel plants well ahead of schedule by 2035 but at the same time is struggling with higher costs of coal and gas - which are being passed on to businesses and consumers.
