"A tough job to do" - IAG boss Nick Hawkins backs Philip Lowe's inflation fight

IAG chief executive Nick Hawkins says embattled Reserve Bank governor Philip Lowe has "a tough job" to do in aggressively hiking interest rates pulling down runaway inflation.

The support comes as uncertainty surrounds Mr Lowe's reappointment after nine consecutive interest rates rises and criticism about his 2020 signal that interest rates would remain near zero until 2024.
