Reserve Bank review to probe accountability, transparency on rate decisions; should opposing view of board members be published?

 

Australians could soon get greater insights into how interest rate rises are reached with a review into the Reserve Bank expected to recommend greater accountability and governance.

A three member panel appointed to probe the workings of the RBA has released an issues paper that suggests a new era of transparency right down to how individual board members vote on interest rate decisions.
