More aggressive US Federal Reserve inflation-fighting action to stoke Reserve Bank of Australia rate hikes

The aggressive inflation-fighting action by the US Federal Reserve is likely to fuel more official interest rate rises here in Australia. 

Economists expect the Reserve Bank to deliver another 0.5 percentage point increase at the board's next meeting in October. 

Reserve Bank deputy governor Michele Bullock says in addition to rising interest rates the world is on a "knife edge" given concerns about Europe and China.
