"Bill shock" here to stay as regulator confirms energy price surge

Millions of Australian households and small businesses are set to be hit by further cost of living pressures with electricity bills tipped to soar. 

The Australian Energy Regulator has decided to pass on hefty increases to the benchmark power price as geopolitical forces more coal and gas more expensive.
