In an extraordinary development, the energy giant AGL has dumped a controversial demerger plan and announced the exit of its top two executives.
AGL has been planning to spin off its dirty coal fired power stations, but that's been thwarted by tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes who's derailed a shareholder vote scheduled for next month.
Heading for the exits - chairman Peter Botten, chief executive Graeme Hunt and high profile director Diana Smith-Gander.
