As we head into the third year of the pandemic, the world is confronting two destabilising headwinds - rising inflation and the likehood of higher interest rates.
With the US Federal Reserve on track to hike rates perhaps four times this year, the big question is whether Australia's Reserve Bank can hold its nerve and keep rates near zero in the face of rising inflation here.
We'll get a better idea tomorrow when the latest official inflation numbers are released.
