Fossil fuel lobby groups outed for alleged "obstructive" climate strategies. Minerals Council of Australia and APPEA reject claims.

The Minerals Council of Australia and APPEA have been singled out as key industry associations allegedly using "obstructive" strategies to influence government climate change policies.

Climate investor advisor Influencemap.org has also outed US fossil fuel giants Exxon-Mobil and Chevron as the world's most obstructive companies when it comes to climate engagement.

Here's my report from AM where I speak with Influencemap.org director Ed Collins and APPEA chief executive Andrew McConville who says the research is ill-informed.

The Minerals Council of Australia was contacted for comment and issued this statement after my report went to air.
