Commodity price falls in 2022 to complicate budget repair, CBA warns

The Commonwealth Bank is predicting steep falls in commodity prices over the next year in what could be an eventual hit to the federal budget bottom line.

So how significant could this be as Australia's economy recovers from the pandemic especially with a May election looking likely?

I speak with CBA senior economist Kristina Clifton who says any complication to budget repair could be eased by an economic rebound after the lifting of lockdowns in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
