Recession risks rise with June quarter growth tipped to go negative; Ziggy Switkowski to chair Crown board - Monday Finance with Peter Ryan

Official GDP figures for the second quarter of this year out on Wednesday are likely to show the economy was already under intense pressure from business and consumer uncertainty. 

Some economists are predicting Australia could be on the brink of another recession later this year given wide acceptance that the following September quarter growth will confirm a sharp contraction. 

But with around half the population locked down and worried about their futures, ABC's Peter Ryan says many people probably feel they're already living through a recession.
