Women in 80 year wait for CEO parity with men, report warns

A gender study out this morning says it might take 80 years for women to achieve parity in chief executive roles that remain dominated by men.

Research from the government's Workplace Gender Equality Agency and the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre shows that while the pay gap is narrowing, the glass ceiling for women at the CEO level might have to wait til next century.

Report co-author Associate Professor Rebecca Cassells speaks with ABC's Peter Ryan.
