Ireland braces for post-Brexit world as delegation does deals in Australia

Ireland is bracing for a post-Brexit world but is confident that a hard customs border between the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland can be avoided. 

Enterprise Ireland executive director Kevin Sherry concedes Brexit will likely cut economic growth but says the Irish people are used to dealing with adversity. 

Mr Sherry, who is part of a delegation in Australia to broker post-Brexit deals, spoke with the ABC's Peter Ryan.

Reserve Bank deputy governor Guy Debelle warns climate change impact would be "abrupt, disorderly" - now factored into policy deliberations

Climate change now threatens Australia's financial stability. 

That's the stark warning from the Reserve Bank on what could become an "abrupt and disorderly" economic transition. 

In a landmark speech last night, the RBA's deputy governor said climate change had become a "key policy concern" given that's being factor into monetary policy deliberations.
